The Keep at Woodside Bay is a newly built coastal retreat designed for couples and small families wanting privacy, comfort, and a relaxed island stay. A private walkway leads directly from the property to the shoreline below, giving you easy access to the beach and calm water at Woodside Bay.
Inside, the apartment is arranged with two king bedrooms located at opposite ends, separated by a spacious open-plan living, kitchen and bar area. Each bedroom has a king bed and Smart TV (with Netflix and Apple TV ready to go). The bathroom includes a deep soaking tub positioned to take in the views — a calm place to unwind after a day exploring the island. High-speed internet is available throughout.
The central bar area offers a relaxed place to mix cocktails and entertain, making it ideal for evenings in. The compact kitchenette includes crockery, cutlery, plenty of wine glasses, tea and coffee, a dishwasher and a portable induction hob for simple meals. A gas BBQ sits on the deck for effortless outdoor cooking. We supply luxury linens, high-quality teas and coffees, and premium toiletries as a starter pack to make your stay comfortable from the moment you arrive.
Expansive sliding glass doors at the front of the living space open to the deck and bring in wide views of the valley, bay and ocean — an easy place to enjoy breakfast in the sun or a quiet drink at dusk.
The Keep is part of a split dwelling. The apartment sits beneath the main house and has its own private entrance, dedicated access, and no shared internal areas. It is peaceful and private, and guests will not be disturbed. The owners occasionally stay in the main house above and are available should you need assistance, but otherwise you’ll enjoy complete independence.
A small private cabin, Rosie’s Hut, is also available — ideal for quiet reading, afternoon tea or hosting a couple of friends in a cosy, separate space.
The Keep is well located for coastal walks through Whakanewha Regional Park and for exploring nearby quiet beaches. Ostend is around seven minutes’ drive, with Oneroa and Onetangi only a few minutes further.
