Oneroa Garden Retreat is an immaculately presented kiwi cottage at it’s finest, with two bedrooms and one bathroom perfect for up to four guests.

Full of charming features including native timber floors and live edge work tops, but with modern conveniences such as high-speed internet and modern appliances, this wonderful holiday home seamlessly blends the new with the old.

The first thing that strikes you upon entering the property is the feeling of calmness and tranquillity. Set on a quiet road and surrounded by old growth palm and willow trees, you would never know you were only a short walk from the centre of Oneroa village.

The interior of the property is full of delightful details, carefully chosen artworks, books to read and games to play. The main living area is open plan with enough sofa space for the whole family. You will find a large solid wood dining table and open plan kitchen with pantry. The kitchen is very well equipped and includes a full-size oven and hob, large fridge freezer, microwave, Nespresso machine and all the pots and pans you might need.

The main living area has a heat pump & air conditioner, keeping the place toasty warm in winter and cool in summer.

The other side of the house contains the bedrooms and bathroom. Both bedrooms are a good size and are light and bright thanks to roof-lite windows. The beds are incredibly comfortable, with new mattresses, luxury duvets and premium linens. The master bed is a queen and the second bedroom has a split king that has the option to become two singles. There are blackout blinds for all windows and a ceiling fan in each room so a good night’s sleep is guaranteed.

The shared bathroom is spectacular, with floor to ceiling turquoise tiles, a hand-laid river stone floor and a walk-in rain shower.

The real highlight of the property is the wonderful garden which wraps around the house. With a large deck for entertaining, with a huge live-edge dining table, comfortable lounge furniture and gas BBQ. There is a walkway that winds through the section, with hidden spots to sit and read, water features and incredible old growth trees.

With off-street parking, close proximity to public transport, local beaches and the delights of Oneroa Village on your doorstep this is a wonderful family holiday home in a wonderful location and a rare example of a traditional kiwi bach that has been beautifully maintained.
